DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

Our one-time, interactive leadership and empowerment workshops spark confidence, creativity, and self-discovery. With multiple topics available, these sessions are a powerful way to bring inspiration and leave participants feeling energized and empowered.

CREATIVE STUDIOS

For those ready to dive deeper, our Creative Studios offer an immersive journey where a group explores the arts, and themselves, with multiple sessions over time. This experience is designed to nurture growth, build connections, and create a lasting impact in the community.

STAND, THE MUSICAL

Imagine your group bringing their own story to life on stage. With guidance from our talented team, participants create and perform a mini-musical performance that shines a light on the power of their voice. It’s art, empowerment, and community all rolled into one unforgettable experience.

The partnership started in 2019 with a focus on student agency. In collaboration with ActUp Theater, we developed a program for students on the theme, Prove Them Wrong. ActUp Theater performed STAND, The Musical for the entire student population resulting in an exciting connection amongst the learning community that impacted our school climate in a positive way. Students were energized and understood the value and power of their voice and choice. ActUp Theater facilitated after school Creative Studios for students interested in the performing arts as a continuation of themes from the STAND performance. This opportunity offered students a venue for self and artistic expression.

For the year 2020-21, the Goodwin faculty felt that there was a dire need to respond to the challenges students faced thru the pandemic. As a result, we continued our partnership with ActUp Theater and provided our students with a Day of Resilience. ActUp Theater initiated the day with “Resilience” themed ACTIVATE workshops. Following the workshops, teachers engaged students in activities provided by ActUp Theater to continue the discourse on grit and tenacity.

E. C. Goodwin is proud of the partnership with ActUp Theater.
