The masterclass is open to youth ages 8+, teens, and adults.

Whether you're stepping onto the stage for the first time or you've been performing for years, you're welcome. ActUp's masterclasses are designed for performers of different experience levels to learn, grow, and build confidence together.

You do not have to be a professional performer—or even have extensive theater experience—to participate.The masterclass is an opportunity to learn, challenge yourself, and develop your skills. Beginners and experienced performers are both encouraged to attend.

No, but it is designed with the Shrek auditions in mind.

The masterclass will give participants tools they can use for the upcoming Shrek auditions, including performance technique, audition preparation, confidence, movement, voice, and storytelling.

ActUp's previous masterclasses have similarly been used to prepare performers for productions including Frozen, Matilda, Hamilton, The Lion King, Once On This Island, Dreamgirls, Grease, and Sister Act.

The masterclass is a training opportunity—not a guarantee of casting. Everyone who auditions will go through the same audition process. The goal of the masterclass is to help you walk into the audition room more prepared, confident, and ready to show what you can do.

Your spot is not secured until BOTH steps are completed.

The masterclass is an immersive training experience for performers. To help participants stay focused and create a professional rehearsal environment, parents/guardians will not observe the class. Parents, guardians, and supporters may wait in the hallway but cannot enter the classroom to observe the session.

We will be providing 1-1 photos with the masterclass instructor within 24 hours of the experience.
