You'll work hard. You'll be challenged. You'll make memories. And if you make the cast, you'll get to step onto the stage and help bring Arendelle to life.

Come prepared, but don't put too much pressure on yourself—we want to see YOU! Take time to review and practice the audition materials, including the monologues and songs provided for FROZEN. Focus on learning the words, understanding your character, and making strong choices—but remember, you do not have to be perfect.

Once casting is complete, you'll receive the official cast list through the BAND app.

If you're cast, you'll begin rehearsals on September 28 and start the 10-week journey toward opening night.

FROZEN is a 10-week professional-style theater experience where people train with experienced artists and staff, develop their performance skills, build relationships, and work together toward five live performances.

Participants are part of a process designed to challenge them, develop them, and help them grow as artists and as people.

The FROZEN Masterclass on September 19 is designed to help you prepare for auditions with Broadway performer Noah J. Ricketts.

It's a great opportunity to strengthen your skills, learn from a professional performer, and walk into auditions feeling more prepared.

The Masterclass does not guarantee you a role, but it will help prepare you for auditions

ActUp Theater is a community theater organization, and FROZEN is a full production experience.

Rehearsals do however occur during afterschool hours 5:00 -8:00 PM

That means every cast member—from the lead to the ensemble—is an important part of creating the world of Arendelle. Participants are expected to take their commitment seriously, come prepared, work collaboratively, and be present throughout the process.

The $300 registration fee covers participation in the 10-week FROZEN production experience.

The actual cost of providing this program is approximately $1,450 per participant, but ActUp Theater subsidizes a significant portion of the cost through ticket revenue, sponsorships, grants, and community support so that families can participate at a much more accessible rate. The $300 fee represents only a portion of the actual cost of the program. ActUp and our community partners cover the rest.

Families are receiving approximately $1,450 in programming for a $300 registration fee.

That's approximately $30 per week for 10 weeks of professional arts training and production experience.

All parents/guardians and of-age cast members are required to join the BAND app.

You'll use BAND for:

• Production updates

• Important announcements

• Communication with ActUp staff

Success depends on the support around them.

Families are expected to help their cast member arrive on time, attend rehearsals consistently, come prepared, communicate absences, stay connected through BAND, and fulfill the commitment of being part of a community production.

There will also be mandatory parent/guardian meetings where you'll receive production updates, learn about costume requirements and expectations, and have an opportunity to ask questions.

We also encourage parents/guardians to volunteer for small, but meaningful roles during shows.

ActUp Theater is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where people can learn, create, and perform.

All adults working in youth environments with ActUp—including staff, teaching artists, production team members, volunteers, and other adults who have direct access to youth—are subject to a background check.

We also maintain clear expectations around appropriate adult-youth interactions and professional conduct.

Safety comes first.

Parents/guardians must come in person to sign their cast member in and out of rehearsal each day. Cast members will only be released to individuals who are on their approved pickup list.
